Isaac

Remember last week when I glowingly blogged about the not-so-sweet but honest things my children say to me?

Today Isaac and I were eating lunch and talking about his day at school. He expressed to me that he really likes his new teacher "because she has eyebrows".... I know right? Eyebrows. I have to pay closer attention to Ms. Jamie's brows next week to discover exactly what is so special about them.

Anyway, after our discussion about school Isaac quietly ate his lunch. You could tell he was thinking about something and he looked up at me and said "Mom, you make my heart smile". I melted all over the floor. What a little sweetheart. At that moment that kid could've had anything he wanted. I would've bought him his own damn pony if he'd asked!

Later on during dinner Isaac pondered something again. This time he looked up at me and asked "Mom can I spit in your mouth?" ....

The pony offer is now off the table.
