I have been thinking a lot about the type of birth experience that I would like this time around. I know that I want another med-free birth with as little interventions as possible. When I delivered my son and daughter, I just sorta winged it to get through the pain. But by doing that I was tense, loud and anxious. I would much rather welcome baby #3 into the world in a peaceful environment, not one when his/her mother turns into the devil and is yelling "GET OUT OF MY BODY!"
I have been looking into different kinds of birthing methods to use to help me stay calm while laboring. One of my doula clients used Hypno Birthing for her daughters birth and it was incredible. Hypno Birthing is not getting hypnotized but rather being in such a relaxed state that you can get through the labor easier. I've also been looking into the Bradley Method which teaches the husband how to coach you through pain, and also that pain has a purpose. Lamaze is another option....
Has anyone used these methods? What did you think of them?Any input will be helpful! Thanks!
