Today was the day that I have been training for, the Race for the Cure was finally here! I was a little nervous about running because of my sprained knee but I thought that if all these women could walk while battling cancer, then I should be able to overcome my small injury! I also was motivated by the person that I was running in honor of, Mimi Moons. Mimi is a single mom that is battling breast cancer while trying to stay strong for her two small children! With Mimi as a motivation, how could I not finish for her? Well, I not only finished the 5K running, but I also shaved 2 minutes off of my best time!! My time was 30:42. Remie did AWESOME too. He flew by me and finished in only 24:30!!
