Active Imagination

Isaac's little imagination keeps me entertained. For example, Remie and Isaac sleep in bunk beds. Isaac found a little notch in the wood on the bottom of Remie's bunk. Isaac named it "Mr. wood" because it kind of looks like a face. He tells stories about how Mr Wood is his friend and he has two eyes, a long nose but no mouth. It's really adorable.

Isaac also likes to name other things he finds. This morning he saw a toad hopping on our front porch and exclaimed that his new toad friend was named Jack. Yesterday he found a stick in the yard and named it something or another.

So far every new "friend" he has named has been really cute. It was all adorable and funny until this morning. I came downstairs after changing Grace's diaper and Isaac was standing in the kitchen. He lifted his shirt and said proudly, "Look, my new friend Mr Penis came out to play!" I almost fell over as my innocent three year old was standing there, full smile, while proudly displaying his twig and berries for all to see! I'm not sure where he got that idea from, but I can promise you it wasn't from me!
