Back on the Blog Train

I've had good intentions of blogging regularly but I found out the hard way that I'd rather nap during the children's nap time than write. However, I am going to start trying to post on my blog more frequently even if it means no mid-day nap.

I know you are dying to find out what's been going on in the lives of the Verougstraetes. Things have been pretty busy here as we sold the house that I spent nearly all my life in and now we are packing up and moving to a brand new home about 30 minutes northeast of us. It's pretty exciting and terrifying all at once! I'm very sad to leave all the memories that this house holds but I'm looking forward to making new memories with my family in our new home.

The kids are growing fast and doing well.
Remie is now 7 and he's starting to grow into his own person. It's amazing to watch him find activities and hobbies that he likes and dislikes. As a toddler we had Remie in every sport possible so he could find what he liked. Now we are finding that sports aren't really his thing. I think he might have a great ear for music. He loves to sing, dance and attempt to play instruments. Once we move, I'd like to get him started in piano lessons and see if he likes that.

Charlotte is an amazing little 5 year old girl. She is everything that I always wanted to be. She is tender and very maternal. She loves taking care of her dolls and gets great joy out of caring for her younger siblings. But at the same time, she is very independent, extremely smart, has great self confidence and isn't afraid of trying anything! I can't wait to see who she grows into because she has the ability to do anything she sets her mind on.

Isaac. What do I say about my sweet Isaac? Well, he's definitely three. We like to say that he's in the "training stages" because he is learning rules and what happens when he doesn't obey mom and dad. Isaac is a typical boy- loves dirt, wrestling, trying to defy gravity and loves his mama!

My sweet baby Grace is now 15 months. She's walking, running, babbling and desperately trying to keep up with her older siblings. She has such a sweet demeanor and is the most lovable little girl ever!
