Well Hello Again!

Well hello, how are you? It's been quite some time since I last posted about our wild family on our blog. We've been so busy with vacations and summertime fun that my blog slipped my mind for a little while.

I really dont have much to update besides little silly things that my kidos do every day! I decided to steal a blog idea from my friend Jenna at callerhappy.com and simply list 5 things that are on my mind or going on in our lives. I will refer to this type of post as "High Five" from now on :)

Here's my High Five for today:
1. I am loving snuggle time with Charlotte before bed. Our routine is pray and then sing a song together. Lately she has been wanting me to sing "You are my Sunshine". She sings with me and always replaces the word "dear" with "Mommy". I close my eyes and try to burn the sound of her precious voice into my head so I will never forget this special time with her!

2. Isaac has been very slow to begin speaking. I have a few theories about his lack of speach. One is that Charlotte talks so much that she never gives Isaac a chance to talk. Another is that Isaac's huge adenoids have caused him to have a delay in speaking. Isaac's ENT said that this is very common and once the adenoids are removed the child has to learn how to speak through his mouth rather then his nose. Most of the time he grunts through his nose so this theory makes sense. I decided to be proactive and call the MISD to have his speach evaulated in August. I'm not upset or nervous about this evaluation because I just want to get him the help he needs.

3. Remie David just finished up his first season of T ball. He loved it! I think the best part of the entire season for him was the trophy he got at the end of the season!

4.We just got back from our yearly trip to North Carolina to visit my parents. We had a great time swimming and golfing while we were there! My parents spoiled the crap out of the kids and they loved every second of it. While we were in NC, Remie Sr and I left the kids with my parents and ran out to wrightsville beach for a few days. Remie and I enjoyed our alone time by sitting on the beach, playing in the waves and eating dinners without any interruption. It was pure heaven! The best part of the entire trip was when we were relaxing on the beach on Monday morning. Right past the sand bar 2 dolphins went swimming by. Because we dont live near the ocean, the only sea life I'm used to seeing is the beloved sea weed so imagine my excitement to see these two dolphins!

5. While we are elated that Remie survived the dreaded SHPD lay offs we were very sad to see 5 Sterling Heights Police Officers lose their jobs on July 1st due to lay offs. Please keep the 5 officers in your prayers that they are able to find new jobs to support their families.

Shout out! ;)

And, I am so with you on burning their voices in your head. I always try to get recordings of Ellen babbling, but she just stops when the camera is on her :( So, I, like you, just try to close my eyes and tell myself to never forget!

We can't wait to see you this month!
