PLAY GROUPS: I really enjoy getting together with my friends
while the children play. Sometimes we meet at someone’s home or we will plan on
meeting in a child friendly location. This is great because the kids can all
play together while I get some adult interaction.
WARREN FOUNTAIN: In the summer, the city of Warren has an
awesome fountain that the kids love to play in! There is music that is in sync
with the squirting water and they have picnic tables so we can have lunch! The
best part is that it’s FREE! I try to get there first thing in the morning on a
week day because it is much less crowded; we play until lunch, eat a picnic
lunch and then head home for a long afternoon nap! Life doesn’t get much better
than that!
PUBLIC LIBRARY: The Clinton-Macomb Public library on Romeo
Plank has an AWESOME kids area! They have computers for the kids, a puppet
stage and an activity room full of toys! They also provide story time for the
little ones throughout the morning. We love going there on rainy days to play
and check out some books.
MALL PLAY AREA: Partridge Creek and Lakeside Mall both have
little play areas for the kids. I like Partridge Creek’s area more so we
normally only go to Lakeside on cold or rainy days. I like that these areas are
small enough that my kids don’t get lost amongst hundreds of other little ones
and I am able to keep an eye on them at all times. Partridge Creek also has a
fountain for the kids to play in during the summer months. We go there occasionally
but I prefer Warren’s fountain.
ZOO: We love going to the zoo so we purchase a yearly pass
that always us to visit the zoo as often as we like.
PARKS: My kids and I love playing at the parks in the area.
Our favorite park is the George George Park in Clinton Twp. It is absolutely
beautiful and has great play structures for the kids!
INDOOR PARK: During the winter months, Roseville offers an
indoor park a few days a week for a small fee. It’s an open gym with all the
outside toys you can think of! The kids can ride bikes, go on wagon rides, climb,
jump and run! It’s a great way to get some energy out when the kids are cooped
up inside for the winter.
This is just a small list of our favorite activities to do.
Of course there’s always Moms groups and community education classes you can
take with your little ones. Being a mommy doesn’t have to be only discipline,
teaching, laundry and cleaning- get out there and have some fun!!!
