He's Reading!!!

One of my favorite parts of teaching lower elementary was teaching the children how to read.

Recently Remie started showing an interest in learning to read so of course I immediately got out all of my teaching supplies! I can't believe how fast Remie is catching on. He is quickly learning sight words and is now reading some beginner books all on his own!

The best part of teaching Remie is that Charlotte is learning to read as well! She wants to be just like her brother so she sits with us and listens as Remie reads. I wasn't sure if she was actually learning anything until last night. Remie was stuck on a word and before I could help him, Charlotte yells out the word! Today we were working on -at and -an words and Charlotte did great using her letter sounds to read the words! I am so proud of my little readers!!
