Public Embarrassment

Yesterday Isaac, Grace and I ran to the credit union for yet another random piece of paper for our mortgage. It was one of those occasions when I didn't have time for dilly dally-ing because I had 20 minutes before the bus would be dropping the kids off from school. 

We walked into the credit union and to my surprise there was only one person in line in front of us. Hallelujah! We walked up to the teller and I explain what paperwork I need. She then starts chatting it up with Grace. Grace isn't saying anything so it turns into an awkward moment where I am trying to get Grace to humor the woman with even the slightest smile. She wasn't having any of it. The woman isn't getting the hint that Grace isn't in the mood for chit chat and keeps trying to make a connection with Grace. As precious seconds tick by and it's looking more and more like my kids will be abandoned at the bus stop, I start to get irritated. The teller must've noticed the look on my face and starts typing away at her computer.

It's then that I notice that I hear some chuckling in line behind me. I ignore it at first but the snickering continued. I finally decide to turn around and see what the commotion is about. To my utter embarrassment I find Isaac standing right next to me with both hands down the back of his pants scratching vigorously. I frantically whisper-yell "Isaac! Get your hands out of your pants!" He looks at me and continues scratching away! So I get a little louder and a firmer tone, "Isaac get your hands out of your pants!!!" He smiles at me and continues scratching but now the back of his pants have fallen down and he's scratching his bare butt for EVERYONE to see! 

I'm pretty sure I died of embarrassment at that moment! I quickly grabbed Isaac's hands and pulled up his underwear and pants. At that moment the teller was FINALLY finished retrieving my paperwork and it's time to turn around and face the snickering line of people. "Just don't make eye contact" I keep telling myself. I lean over to grab Isaac's hand and make a run for it. As I lean over, Isaac doesn't grab my hand but instead puts his ass hand on my cheek! 

As disgusted as I was that he put his dirty butt hands on my face, I tried to keep it together and was able to run out of there without looking up!
