Good Bye Old House

Yesterday we closed on our old home. The home I was born in. The home I rocked all of my babies in. The home I spent 33 years loving.
My sister, Kathy and I outside our house in 1981.

First day of Preschool 1983

It's was a bitter-sweet time signing the paperwork to sell the house. I got a little choked up as I told the new owner how much she is going to love it here. I told her all about the neighbors, the school and the bus stop. She was very excited to start her new life here. I am excited for her too, I hope she makes many wonderful memories in our home.

This was taken two years ago in front of our house.

As we move on, I know we will create many awesome memories in our new home too! But as we look back on our times in Washington Square Subdivision we will remember all of the love and joy that came from one little house on Mount Vernon Drive.

And no....I didn't tell the new owner that the house comes with our beloved basement ghost, Bob...
