Wow! How am I already 26 weeks pregnant with my 4th?!
It seems like just yesterday that Remie and I were praying for our first little
bundle of joy and now we are expecting our 4th in just a few short
months.
I had my regular check up with my OB yesterday. This
included the one hour glucose test which doesn’t bother me at all. I actually
love the orange sugar drink that you have to consume before the test so other
then feeling a little light headed and having my blood drawn, the test isn’t
all that bad. I’m interested to get the results of my test on Monday to see if
I have gestational diabetes again this pregnancy. So far I’ve only been
diabetic with Charlotte’s pregnancy so I really have no idea what the outcome
will be this time. For as much as I don’t want to be diabetic again for all the
obvious reasons, the diagnosis actually forces me to eat healthy and watch my
sugars when I’d otherwise have no self control.
After I drank the sugary wonderfulness, I saw Dr. Gilbert.
We talked about some bleeding issues I had a few weeks ago and discussed that
the baby was in the breech position at my last ultrasound. She asked me if I
thought I felt the baby rotate to head down. I told her that I can feel
something moving behind my pubic bone, not kicking but more of a turning of the
head and that I thought the baby’s back was laying on my left side and that the
hands and feet were kicking mostly on the right side. I laughed and said that I
am NEVER correct when it comes to my baby’s position. Dr. Gilbert decided to do
an ultrasound (yay!) to check my placenta to make sure the bleeding wasn’t
anything serious and also to check the baby’s position. To my delight, the
placenta was completely healthy and she thinks the bleeding was just coming
from an angry cervix (ha! Ha!). And I was 100% correct with how I thought the
baby was laying! I’m happy that the baby was head down and doing wonderfully. Dr.
Gilbert measured the baby and of course my little moose is measuring 2 weeks
ahead of schedule. This never worries me because my babies are always on the
large side. We watched as the baby had hiccups and punched me with it’s HUGE
hands. I swear I even saw the little sweetie pie smiling at me! I was on cloud
nine and full of bliss after sneaking a peak of my ground hog. I know it sounds
cliché but it is so awesome having this little miracle growing inside me!

Is there anything better than a healthy check-up and an ultrasound pic? Maybe holding that babe, but the former is a close second ;)
I agree!! My niece/nephew is smiling at you :-) Can't wait to meet the newest blessing!
