Preparing for Baby

Remie and I have started thinking about the many things that need to get done before baby groundhog gets here. There's a few baby gear items that need to be purchased and some rearranging of bedrooms and kids. We need to transition Isaac to a big boy bed and decide if he will move into the "big" kids bedroom or stay in the nursery with the groundhog.

While we were having a discussion about things that needed to be done, we began to talk about what life will be like after groundhog gets here. I assume we will be very busy getting Remie on the bus for kindergarten, Charlotte to preschool and Isaac to speech therapy. It was then that I realized that I will no longer be able to leasurely wake up, get the kids breakfast and watch them play while I nurse their new baby brother or sister! We will have many things to do and places to go and I am going to have to learn how to be a nursing mommy on the go!! With the other 3 kids I have never been able to walk and nurse at the same time but I have a feeling with this one we will be running out to the bus stop with a baby strapped to me nursing. This may be a bit TMI for a blog post but honestly, this is something I have to learn how to do and I'm a bit concerned about it. If you know me at all, you'll understand my concerns... I can't even walk and chew gum at the same time. Walking and nursing is going to be a challenge for this clumsy mum!!!

So, I need your advice for a good (and EASY to use) sling/baby carrier that I can nurse in without flashing my neighbors or the kids' teachers! I've tried the slings that are one HUGE piece of material and you're supposed to wrap around you and the baby in some way, criss crossing here and knotting there that makes it all secure... for some reason when I try it, it ends up a big knotted mess! Help!! Any advice is appreciated :)

If someone tells you about a good one, let me know! Maybe you could try a bunch out and return the ones that don't work? Then write a blog post about it for all of us other moms :)
