Moustaches for Mason

The Sterling Heights Police Department decided that they wanted to raise money for the family of Officer Mason Samborski of Oak Park Police Department who was shot and killed while conducting an investigation following a traffic stop. They started a fundraiser called "Moustaches for Mason". Each officer that wanted to contribute was to donate money and then grow a moustache and keep it until February 9th. Without thinking twice, Remie started growing his moustache. I am very proud of him because he kept the moustache for over a month while enduring endless jokes about him looking like someone from the cast of Reno 911!

Today was finally shaving day and Remie David was more than happy to help his Daddy shave off the silly moustache!

A memorial fund has been set up in honor of Officer Samborski's family. If you would like to make a donation, they can be may be made to: The Mason Samborski Memorial Fund, c/o 13600 Oak Park Blvd., Oak Park, MI 48237
