What a Morning!

This morning, Remie David, Remie, and I were all fooling around on our bed before we got our day started. Remie David decided that he was ready to get off the bed and started sliding his feet toward the edge to get down like he has done hundreds of times. This time, however, was a bit different. Remie must've thought that he was closer to the ground because he somehow tumbled to the ground. He immediately began crying and wouldn't stop. It is very unlike him not to stop crying once being held so we knew that something must've gotten hurt. We tried to stand Remie up and he wouldn't put any weight on his left leg without screaming hysterically! We gave him some time to settle down and tried to stand him up again, same thing happen. I called the dr and they told us to get to the office immediately. After an extensive examination, the dr said that he wanted us to take Remie to St. John for x-rays to see if he broke his tibia and then to an orthopedic surgeon if the leg was broke. We did as we were told, praying all the way that he just twisted his leg or something minor. The dr finally called us this afternoon with the results of the x-rays.....not broken! Phew! We still need to keep my little guy on pain meds until he feels better but the dr is hoping that it is just a bad bruise. We will follow up with the doctor tomorrow and determine what needs to be done if Remie is still not using his leg.
